3 Ways to Boost Engagement on Instagram

Looking to increase your following on Instagram and attract people to your content? We’ve got three simple tips for you!

1.Stay engaged with your audience.

The best way to get more engagement on your Instagram profile is to actually ENGAGE with your audience. When we say this, you have to remember that Instagram is like a community. The more you post, comment, like and share content the more people can interact with your profile. If you have people commenting on your posts, like those comments to show you acknowledged them or comment back to start a conversation.

2.Use hashtags.

Hashtags are a great tool that allow audiences to find your content. In order for these to effective, make sure they are relevant to your brand and/or products. Instagram users can actually opt in to follow certain hashtags so if they follow a hashtag you include, your content will appear on their feed whether they follow you or not! What an awesome way to get exposure to those outside of your follower list?!

3.Put questions in your captions.

This a fun little way to get people to contribute to your content and let them feel like they are a part of your brand. Ask questions that are obviously relevant to your post but can directly engage with them – “what’s your favourite social media platform? Tell us below!” This will generate more engagement and start some conversation within the comments. Be sure to respond to some of the answers to show you are interested in their thoughts.
